BoI poll results show a divided opinion on Indian bureaucracy being called “suffocating”
READERS of BoI (Babus of India) are divided over calling Indian bureaucrats as “suffocating” by Hong Kong-based Perc survey on Asian bureaucrats. Whereas 45% of readers who participated in BoI poll termed the usage of the word “suffocating” right, though 32% said it was “absolutely wrong” whereas another 9% termed it “wrong”. Another 12% of our readers felt that the international organization should have used a mild word rather than calling Indian bureaucracy “suffocating”. The poll, which appeared in BoI home page, was designed in such a way that no respondent could vote twice from the same computer.
