“Transfer of official is where corruption begins in government”: Karnataka CM

KARNATAKA chief minister K Siddaramaiah, who asked his bureaucrats to pull up their socks immediately after taking charge as the CM last month, has now said transfer of official is where corruption begins in the government. And that’s the rationale behind…
Siddaramaiah-headed government’s coming out with new guidelines on transfers. The state government has earlier set a deadline of June 30 for settling pending transfer and postings.
Media reports have quoted the chief minister asking his colleagues that only a sincere person will have the moral courage to speak to officers with conviction. He wants his ministers not to meddle with new guidelines on transfer and postings.
Last month, chief minister said he wanted his officials to make a drastic change in the administration in six months. And strict action would be taken against those bureaucrats who fail to move, CM added.
