After IAS Ravindra Kumar, 5 more officers gear up to scale Mt Everest next year

ONLY a couple of months after Sikkim cadre IAS officer of 2011 batch, Ravindra Kumar had created history by scaling the Mt Everest, the highest peak in the world, five IAS officers-- all belonging to Rajasthan are now dreaming big. According to reports, all those five officers have got berths in Indo-Nepal Mount Everest Civil Service expedition scheduled for next year. Here are more about each of those officers:
Roli Singh, 44
She is a senior deputy director at Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration in Mussorrie. An alumna of Lady Sriram College in Delhi, she is an MA in history from the University of Delhi. Had earlier served as collector and district magistrates in Ajmer and Dausa districts of Rajasthan. Belongs to 1994 batch IAS.

Pritam B Yashvant, 38
An MBBS before joining as IAS, this 2003 batch IAS is now the district collector of Rajasthan's Rajsamand district. Earlier, he was mission director of National Rural Health Mission, Jaipur. He originally hails from Karnataka.

Niraj Kumar Pawan, 34
A post-graduate in clinical psychology, this 2003 batch IAS is district collector of Bharatpur district. Had earlier served as collector in Dungarpur and Karauli districts of the state. Was also Jaipur's municipal commissioner. He originally hails from Jhalawar of Rajasthan.

Rajesh Yadav

Each IAS officer will have to spend Rs 18 lakh each for their bid to unfurl Indian tri-colour at the world's highest peak. As the government may not pay such a huge amount, it's likely that organizations promoting mountaineering may come in.
Deccan Herald newspaper quoted one of them, Pritam B Yashvant saying that he is excited. Yashvant, a trained mountaineer, said yes to the proposal without even batting an eyelid.
