According to tentative schedule released by the DoPT, the discussion on Pak ISI will come up in a meet at Ranchi scheduled to be held in November 18-20 this year. In addition to MHA officials, mid-career bureaucrats from Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Assam, UP, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand are expected to come for that meet.
The other cities such as Ahmedabad, Mysore, Chandigarh and Secunderabad will also host similar kind of interactive sessions in coming months. In government, there is an institutional mechanism for inter-cadre interactions and also joint sessions between Armed forces and civil servants as a part of their mid-career development. For the piracy meet in Mumbai next month, civil servants from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Goa, Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar etc. are expected to join. Senior officers from the ministry of home affairs and shipping will also participate in the session.
The other issues that Indian armed forces officials and civil servants will discuss together in coming months include internal security, cyber security, human rights, human trafficking and disaster management.

The department of economic affairs (DEA) which is the cadre-controlling authority for Indian Economic Service (IES) officers, is facilitating a one-week training programme on infrastructure regulation with Indian Maritime University (IMU), Cochin from July 15 to 19, 2013.
