one crore. It’s claimed that the officer has five bank lockers, and only the one, which is jointly held by the officer and his wife, was opened on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia has warned officers working in Delhi, saying the state government won’t tolerate corruption. He further said that the government had been keeping an eye on Singh as the complainant also approached chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to complain that the officer was asking for bribe every time to clear his bills. Even Sisodia had once made a surprise visit to the officer’s cabin.
Here is the message from the deputy chief minister: “We want to give a clear message to officers involved in corruption that they won’t be spared...Singh’s arrest message is if you are corrupt, we won’t spare you irrespective of whether you are a peon, MLAs, officer or minister…We want Centre to take all such officers (corrupt) back and we are ready for this.”
The Delhi government has recommended immediate suspension of the officer. The Centre has to take a call on the suspension now.

Kudos for catching such Moles who eat the System from within.
ReplyDeleteOne IAS officer after another. Many have been jailed in 2G scam, coal scam and major corruption issues in India.
ReplyDeleteTime has come when IAS cadre needs to be abolished. Padma Vibushan Verghese Kurien and Parma Vibushan NR Narayana Murthy have earlier called for abolition of the IAS cadre.
7th Pay Commission should rectify the boat parity and time has come to remember that ICS framework and ICS officers were primarily responsible for looting and poverty in India.
Today IAS is responsible for all ills plaguing the country. IAS is a termite which eats into India's fabric. India will never prosper until IAS rules it. Its high time IAS is abolished immediately for India to prosper.
ReplyDeleteHere are excerpts from Lok Sabha proceedings, held shortly after independence, when the abolition of ICS was debated. A member quipped: - “It is time we abolished the ICS, it is neither Indian nor civil and certainly what they do, is not Service”. But , the anglophiles in Lok Sabha overruled the suggestion by sheer “ tyranny of numbers “. This is how the monstrosity of a new bureaucracy was born .

But sir, these people have the unique capacity to manipulate things as per the whims and fancies of the politicians in power and to facilitate the loot of public resources. Please see how the IAS topper of 81 batch, who was sent to jail on serious corruption charges, is being shielded by the state govt.Even Mr Modi is not in a position to bring real experts through lateral entry because of the organized lobbying by this mafia.I dont think their power is going to diminish in near future despite some isolated instances of one or two being punished occasionally.Their harassive dominance is going to continue for some more time until some strong democratic leader can show them the door.
