11 new joint secretaries appointed; 8 belong to IAS, 2 from Indian Forest Service; Full list

THE Central government on Thursday appointed 11 officers as joint secretaries in ministries such as environment and forests, DoPT, department of expenditure etc. The officers include eight IAS, two from Indian Forest Service and one from Indian Postal Service (IPoS). Full list below:

1. Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, 1998 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in DoPT. The government meanwhile has cancelled the appointment of 2000 batch CSS MC Luther for that post. 
2. Gyanesh Bharti, 1998 batch AGMUT cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in ministry of environment, forest and climate change in place of Sanjiv Kumar, 1986 batch Karnataka cadre.
3. SK Dev Verman, 1988 batch Manipur cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in the ministry of minority affairs in place of 1981 batch Indian Economic Service (IEC) officer Preeti Madan.
4. Vikram Singh Gaur, 1986 batch Jharkhand cadre Indian Forest Service officer, has been appointed as joint secretary in NITI Aayog.
5. RK Sudhanshu, 1997 batch AGMUT IAS officer, has been appointed joint secretary in the department of electronics and information technology in place of Ajay Kumar, 1985 batch Kerala cadre IAS.
6. Santosh D Vaidya, a 1998 batch AGMUT cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in the ministry of new and renewable energy.
7. Vivek Joshi, 1989 batch Haryana cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in the
department of expenditure.
8. OP Chaudhary, 1989  batch MP cadre Indian Forest Service officer, has been appointed as joint secretary in the department of animal husbandry in place of 1986 batch Haryana cadre IAS Rajni Sekhri Sibal.
9. SC Barmma, 1987 batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer, has been appointed as joint secretary in department of justice.
10. Rakesh Kumar, 1992 batch IAS, has been appointed as Senior DDG, ICMR (joint secretary level) under the department of health research.
11. K Rajeshwar Rao, 1988 Tripura cadre IAS, has been appointed as joint secretary in department of health and family welfare in place of 1992 batch IAS Rakesh Kumar.
