BENGALURU's Art of Living Foundation and Coimbatore-based Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre are among the institutes where All India Services officers — IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service — are being imparted short-term training this year, according to 2016-17 DoPT calendar. Those one-week-long training programmes are meant for officers with at least four years of experience in the service, and up to the rank of union secretary. inner engineering leadership during January 23-27, 2017. Headed by spiritual guru Sri Sri, the Art of Living is a non-governmental organization and according to its website, is involved in humanitarian projects with “a special focus on stress elimination”.
Isha (Foundation) Yoga Centre on the other hand offers all the four major paths of yoga — gnana (knowledge), karma (action), kriya (energy) and bhakthi (devotion).
The other institutes such as New Delhi-based National Institute of Public Finance and Policy(NIPFP), The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Manesar, Haryana will also offer training to All India Services officers this year.
