Govt appoints new CVOs in FCI, Neyveli Lignite; IAS Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu appointed in AIIMS

THE government late last week appointed an IAS officer — Rajesh Kumar Singh of Kerala cadre as CVO in Food Corporation of India (FCI). Also, another IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre will take charge as deputy director (administration) in All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS). Here are 4 appointments -- two IAS, and one each from IRSME and IPS service:
1. Rajesh Kumar Singh, 1989 batch Kerala cadre IAS, has been appointed as the new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in Food Corporation of India (FCI), Delhi under the department of food and public distribution up to July 1, 2019 in place of Anil Kumar Khachi, a 1986 batch Himachal cadre IAS. 
2. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal for appointment of Venkatasubramanian T, 1985 batch IRSME officer as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) in Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. (NLC), Neyveli under the ministry of coal in place of Shiv Raj Singh, 1986 batch Karnataka cadre Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officer. IRSME stands for Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering, a cadre mostly responsible for managing the mechanical engineering organisation of the Indian Railways.
3. Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, 1997 batch Uttarakhand cadre IAS, has been appointed as deputy director (administration) at joint secretary level in All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi under the department of health and family welfare in place of V Srinivas, 1989 batch Rajasthan cadre IAS.
4. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal for appointment of Vinayak P Apte, 1994 batch Telangana cadre IPS, to the post of Inspector General (Security) under the department of atomic energy, Mumbai in place of Anil Kumar, 1986 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IPS.
Meanwhile, Neeraj Kumar Gupta, 1982 batch UP cadre IAS and secretary in the department of investment and public asset management, has been given additional charge of post of secretary, department of financial services from April 14 to 23, 2017 when secretary Anjuly Chib Duggal is on leave.

  1. Officers prefer to be a CVO than being a CEO.

    One gets protection from CBI/CVC/CJI/CIC beside getting Outstanding APAR every year.

    One can always misuse the public sector organisation for personal benefits.

    Enjoy the government system and be a vigilance inspector or Dy.CVO or CVO.
