IN THE last two days, the government has appointed two IOFS officers, one IPoS, ITS and Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP and TAFS) officer at various positions, key highlight being the bestowing the ex-officio GOI rank on 1982 batch IP and TAFS officer Anuradha Mitra. Here below are the detailed appointments:
1. Lakshmikanta Das, 2001 batch Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officer, has been appointed as Assistant Director General (director level) in Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Bengaluru under the ministry of electronics and information technology.
2. Srikrishna Karuturi, 1991 batch Indian Telecom Service officer, has been appointed as Assistant Director General (director level) in Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Bengaluru under the ministry of electronics and information technology.
3. Rupesh Kumar Shrivastava, 2002 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) service officer, has been appointed as Assistant Director General (director level) in Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Ranchi under the ministry of electronics and information technology.
4. Dharmendra Kumar Madan, 1994 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer, has been appointed as director in the ministry of chemicals and petrochemicals.
Meanwhile, Anuradha Mitra, an IP and TAFS officer of 1982 batch and present Financial Adviser (Acquisition) and additional secretary in the ministry of defence, was on Wednesday appointed as the Member (Finance) in the Telecom Commission, in the pay scale of Rs 2,25,000 (level 17 in pay matrix under 7th Central Pay Commission). The appointment has been on an absorption basis with the ex-officio status of a Government of India secretary. IP and TAFS is an abbreviated form of Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service, a Central Group “A” service.
Also, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of appointment of Justice Shiva Kirti Singh, a retired judge of the Supreme Court of India, as the new chairperson of Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT).
