PM asks young officers to recall their life upto the day of UPSC result; “Boldness is required to drive change”

2015 batch IAS officers while listening to PM
PRIME Minister on Monday asked young IAS officers of 2015 batch, currently in deputation with the Central government as assistant secretaries, to recall their life upto the day of the UPSC result, the challenges they faced; and use the opportunities they will now have, to bring about positive changes in the system. The young officers are posted with various Central government ministries and departments for the next three months. Based on the press note issued by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Monday, here are the key highlights of what the PM told the young IAS officers:

1. Avoid getting into a mindset that resists change and fill India’s administrative system with the energy of ‘New India.’
2. India has not progressed as much as it should have.
3. The countries that achieved independence after India, and faced greater resource constraints than India, have touched new heights of development.
4. Boldness is required to drive change.
5. A fragmented administrative arrangement does not allow the collective capabilities of officers to deliver to the optimum level.
6. Dynamic change is needed to transform the system.
7. The three month programme of assistant secretaries, which is now into its third year, and would have a great impact.
8. The young officers must interact freely with the senior-most officers of the Union Government over the next three months.
9. The system will benefit from the combination of the energy and fresh ideas of the young officers and the administrative experience of secretary-level officers.
10. Young officers should recall their life upto the day of the UPSC results, the challenges they faced; and use the opportunities they will now have, to bring about positive changes in the system, and the lives of the common people.

  2. Its actually opposite buddy. This is a myth being perpetrated by IAS lobby. Politicians do not obstruct IAS as is being projected. Its because of IAS India is lagging behind even after 70 years of independence. IAS as a lobby is destroying the country for its selfish needs.
