THE government has prematurely repatriated JK Dadoo, 1983 batch AGMUT cadre IAS and additional secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of commerce and industry to his cadre with “immediate effect”. Earlier, between 2009 and 2011, Dadoo was the administrator of the union territory of Lakshadweep, and had experiences in working in Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Delhi (state government). He was also a director in the union ministry of defence.
Meanwhile, the competent authority on Thursday approved the appointment of Manoj Kumar Singh, 2009 batch Bihar cadre IAS, as the private secretary to RK Singh, the minister of state (independent-charge) for power, and new and renewable energy. RK Singh himself was a career bureaucrat (1975 batch Bihar cadre IAS) who became the union home secretary before joining the BJP and winning the 2014 Lok Sabha election from Bihar’s Arrah Parliamentary constituency. His PS Manoj Kumar Singh, 35, originally belongs to UP and did his post-graduation in history from the University of Lucknow before getting selected as IAS. Earlier, he was the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Madhubani district and then the collector in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
In another development, 2001 batch Indian Telecom Service officer Ravinder Kumar has been appointed as director in the ministry of home affairs (MHA), for the balance period of his Central deputation, i.e. upto March 5, 2019.
Also, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Thursday approved the proposal of ministry of drinking water and sanitation for upgradation of one director level post to HAG level for Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) for a period of two years.
