post graduate in English and an MPhil in sociology. She had earlier served as deputy commissioner in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts, and also worked as the state labour commissioner. In 2011, Ms Gupta did an executive masters course in public administration from an US university. She originally belongs to Himachal Pradesh only. There is, however, little information available on Anil Kumar Gupta in public domain.
Meanwhile, the Central government has approved the proposal for regularisation of overstay “beyond the approved tenure of inter cadre deputation” of 1994 batch Punjab cadre IAS DK Tiwari from January 3, 2012 to July 31, 2013 with Chandigarh administration.
Also, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the empanelment of officers for promotion to the Senior Administrative Grade in the Indian Economic Service in Level 14 of the Pay Matrix for the panel year 2017-18. Similarly, the ACC has also approved the empanelment of officers for promotion to the HAG+ grade of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Level 16 in the Pay Matrix (Rs 205400-224400/-) for the panel year 2017-18.
In another development, Nand Lal Sharma, currently serving as the director (personnel) of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (SJVNL) has been appointed as the chairman and managing director (CMD) of SJVNL.
