three All India Civil Services — Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS). “Based on the recommendations of the Cadre Review Committee, the Central Government has sought views of all States/UT Governments on the proposal for creation of All India Medical Services”, said a press statement issued by the ministry of personnel, public grievances and pensions on Thursday. The statement further mentioned that the information was given by personnel minister and MoS in the PMO Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
In replying to another question, the minister said that there are 36 disciplinary proceedings against IAS officers currently in progress at various stages, and the DoPT in exercising its power has also prematurely retired four IAS officers since 2014.
On a special question related to the state of Jharkhand, the minister said that three IAS officers belonging to Jharkhand cadre are now facing disciplinary proceedings for misconducts.
