THE Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) last week approved the empanelment of the following Indian Police Service officers for appointment to Director General or Director General equivalent level posts at the Centre: 

1. SS Deswal, 1984 batch IPS, Haryana cadre

2. Kumar Rajesh Chandra, 1985 batch IPS, Bihar cadre

3. Anup Kumar Singh, 1985 batch IPS, Gujarat cadre

4. AK  Surolia, 1985 batch IPS, Gujarat cadre

5. Rishi Raj Singh, 1985 batch IPS, Kerala cadre

6. Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, 1985 batch IPS, Maharashtra cadre

7. Hitesh Chandra Awasthi, 1985 batch IPS, Uttar Pradesh cadre

8. Arun Kumar - 1, 1985 batch IPS, Uttar Pradesh cadre

In another development, the government on Monday appointed Senthil Nathan S, 2006 batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer, as director in the new Logistics Division of the department of commerce under the ministry of commerce and industry. Also, Sunil Gautam, 1997 batch Indian Telecom Service officer, has been appointed as director in the union ministry of power.
