THE government of Maharashtra on Saturday transferred 11 IAS officers, an exercise which could safely be termed as a maha (big) reshuffle. The officers belong to a range of batches -- from 2004 to the seniors from 1985. Here below are the details of the officers and their new postings:
1. Sanjay Sethi, 1992 batch IAS officer, will now be additional municipal commissioner of Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation. This 51-year-old officer was serving as the CEO of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. Originally belonging to Haryana, Sethi did his MA in economics before getting into IAS.
2. Kavita Gupta, 1985 batch IAS, will be the new managing director of the Society of Integrated Coastal Management (SICOM), Mumbai. Ms Gupta, 58, is a PhD from UK’s Presctt University.
3. KH Govinda Raj will be the new commissioner, skill development, employment and entrepreneurship, Navi Mumbai. He was presently serving as the managing director of SICOM. Raj, 50, originally belongs to Karnataka. He is a 1995 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS. He is a doctor-turned IAS officer.
4. Current additional municipal commissioner of BMC, Sanjay Mukherjee, will be the new secretary of medical education and drugs department of the state.
5. Anup Kumar Yadav, 2002 batch IAS, will be the new commissioner (family welfare) and director, National Health Mission. Yadav, 44, originally belongs to the state of Uttar Pradesh.
6. Parimal Singh, 2004 batch IAS, will be the new special sales tax commissioner, Maharashtra. He was serving as the project director of Maharashtra State Aids Control Society. Singh, 39, is from Maharashtra itself. He did his post-graduation from Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
7. H Yashod will be the new commissioner women and child development, Pune. He was serving as the commissioner employment state insurance scheme.
8. E Ravindran will be the new member secretary of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. He was serving as the commissioner of skill develop employment and entrepreneurship, Navi Mumbai.
9. MJ Pradip Chandren is the new deputy secretary (Information and Technology) in the general administration department.
10. BN Patil will be thew director, environment in the state’s environment department.
11. AB Dhulaj, will be the new commissioner, employment state insurance scheme. He was serving as the chairman, caste verification committee located in Nagpur.
