AS MANY as 40 Indian Railway officers belonging to Indian Railway Service of Engineers (Civil) (IRSE) and Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME) were last week empanelled as union joint secretary or joint secretary-equivalent. In addition, three Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers — Jeet Singh Virk, Nilanjan Mullick and Anil Kumar Ratan — were also empanelled as JS.
