IN A minor bureaucratic reshuffle at the Centre, sports secretary, Rahul Prasad Bhatnagar, has been transferred to the ministry of Panchayat Raj, and Air India CMD, Pradeep Singh Kharola, has been appointed as new civil aviation secretary. First, here below are four secretary-level reshuffle:
1. Rahul Prasad Bhatnagar, 1983 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS and secretary in the department of sports, has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of Panchayati Raj.
2. Radheyshyam Julaniya, 1985 batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS, presently in the cadre, has been appointed as secretary, department of sports.
3. Pradeep Singh Kharola, 1985 batch Karnataka cadre IAS and Chairman and Managing Director of Air India Ltd., has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of civil aviation.
4. Sailesh, 1985 batch Assam cadre IAS and secretary in the department of official language, has been appointed as secretary in the ministry of minority affairs. The officer will continue to hold the post of secretary, department of official language on additional charge basis.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, 2004 batch IRS-IT officer, Parveen Kumar, has been appointed as director in the department of economic affairs (DEA) under the ministry of finance. Also, Rajendra Kumar Soni, 1997 batch Indian Telecom Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of chemicals and petrochemicals, New Delhi.
In another development, Rupesh Kumar, 1998 batch Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer, has been appointed as director in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
