THE government has appointed two officers, an IAS and an IRS-IT, as deputy secretary in the department of economic affairs (DEA). Also, a 1985 batch IAS and another belonging to Indian Defence Service of Engineers, have been prematurely repatriated. Here below are the details:
1. Hanish Chhabra, 2006 batch Tamil Nadu cadre IAS, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the department of economic affairs (DEA).
2. Poojan Rana, 2009 batch Indian Revenue Service—Income Tax officer, has been appointed as deputy secretary in the department of economic affairs (DEA).
3. Rajan Agrawal, 1984 batch Indian Defence Service of Engineers officer, presently a director in the department of agriculture research and education, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
4. PV Ramesh, 1985 batch Andhra Pradesh cadre IAS and Director General in National Archives of India under the ministry of culture, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre.
5. Ms Supriya Devasthali, 2001 batch Indian Cost Accounts Service officer, has been appointed as director in the department of promotion of industry and internal trade.
6. The tenure of Ms. Veena K Meena, 1993 batch Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS and executive director of Food Corporation of India (FCI), has been extended till June 30, 2019.
