FIU-IND asks for applications from retired officials for 6 vacancies of consultants

THE Financial Intelligence Unit —India (FIU-IND), an intelligence unit under the ministry of finance that gets engaged in safeguarding the nation’s financial system from the abuses of money laundering, terror-financing and other economic offences, has issued an advertisement for recruiting consultants on contract basis. The monthly payment for the recruits, as mentioned in the circular dated April 16, 2019, will be…
Rs 40,000 to 45,000 for consultants (analysts) and Rs 25,000 for consultants (ministerial). Presently, there are six vacancies —five consultants (analysts) and one consultant (ministerial).
The tenure of contract will be for one year from the date of engagement. The selection will be done on the basis of experiences and interview. No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
For the consultants (analysts), the retired government officials and those with experiences in public sector banks will be preferred. The selected candidates will have to report to the principal officers of the reporting agencies for submission of reports under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). They will prepare reports and also maintain a database. The maximum age limit for the post will be 65 years. The candidate needs to be computer literate.
For consultant (ministerial), retired private secretaries or personal assistants of the government are eligible to apply.
The posts are based out of New Delhi, and no additional allowance will be provided. FIU-IND won’t provide any accommodation too. The consultants will, however, be given TA/DA if they are sent for work within the country.
